Four days
ago we woke up at Mt Egmont. After the hiking we drove to cape Egmont. We
walked to a lighthouse, and that was the day.
Three days
ago we came to a high hill you could climb. It was fun. My father was a little
bit afraid, but I was only enjoying and saying he really should watch the view.
Then we drove to Egmont village. The only thing we did there was taking a
picture, and no, I spelled it right: Egmont.
That day we also said goodbye to the Tasman Sea and her black beaches. My mother
said the view reminded her to the Teletubbycontry.
The day
before yesterday we were at the visitor centre of Waitomo where we found
information about glowworms and caves. Did you know only larvas of glowworms
are able to eat? And that they make lines, and trying to catch mots with there
light? Rangiriri, where in eightteensixtythree was a majeure battle between
M?ori and British forces that invaded here. Then we drove to Auckland, where we
cleaned the camper.
Yesterday
we brought the camper back. We rented a car for the last days. It is strange to
be so close to the ground. At the moment we are in a house. My mother found it
on Airbnb (you say: ajerbunb). It is almost in a big forest. The owner himself
made the house, and he finished it last year. It is really impressive, ‘cause
it looks like machine work or something, amazing work.
We went in
the forest. My father founded a boat there. We went in it, for there was a
pond. My mother was not in it, she didn’t wanted to go. It was really amazing.
In the forest
are also tons of glowworms. We saw them at night. It was amazing. If anyone is
planning on going to NZ, the glowworms and forests are must-sees.
