Our trip starts at Schiphol Airport for our first flight to 
London
45 minutes to get on the plain to Hong Kong. We made it.
Hong Kong
We have to wait About four hours. Had a nice meal and a wonder around.
Finally around 10 o’clock we can board the airplane. So to say I am all our on it, Arnold is stopped. Apparently his ETA still didn’t came thru.
We had hoped it would. We are waiting already for 4 days and had to start traveling.
Normally they tell you at Schiphol that your ETA hasn’t beïng processed and they would help you out with it.
After a phone call to Durban, the answer is... there has been a letter misspelled and we need to sort it out before beïng approved. It’s gonna take 10 days.
“We cannot let you go on this flight”. Someone is coming to help you out.
We learned no one could help us out at the airport or give us the emergency number in Durban, I had an email that said on Tuesday his ETA will be processed within 24 hours... but still no one gives a s***. Our option was to wait until the morning and see if it was approved, if not to go to the ambassy in Hong Kong.
And then sometimes you have to make wise decision as a women.... stop beïng mad but start throwing in a female emotional breakdown... yep, they would make the phone all once more, handkerchief was given and a promisse that they would put as on the flight the next day if the ETA was there.... ????
We found a hotel and our room was on the 25th floor... Arnold is afraid of heights... oeps.
The room was perfect for little people, everything was small and low. Because we had a flight to Cairns the next day, the flight had to be changed, the rental car changed and our Airbnb changed... managed it all.

The ambassy.... was very friendly to say they couldn’t help us and we were send away ‘ not so friendly’.
One more look at the email..... Yes the ETA came thru.
Hurry up to the airport and we were booked on the evening flight... without extra costs.
What should have been a trip of approx 26 hours became 72 hours.
